I don't even really know how I came across this song, but I believe I first heard it on the Youtube channel called "When the Cowboy Sings" -I think a Willie Nelson or Jerry Reed song brought me to that channel? It's a great channel if you like old Country or even just traditional music in general. "Come Early Morning" was written by Bob McDill in 1972 and can be heard on his "Short Stories" record -the whole album is pretty darn swell. Don Williams recorded the song in 1973 with the B-side of the record also being a song written by McDill. The song was released as a single and also appeared on his debut Album "Don Williams Volume One" As for me, I just really enjoy the happy-go-lucky melody, it's a fun one to sing and brightens my day :)
