Wildwood Flower -Carter Family

I don't really have much to ramble on about this song other than I have said I think it is one of the the prettiest melodies I've heard -it may be my favorite. I never put the time in to getting down the "Carter Scratch" which refers to the style of picking Maybelle Carter uses -this style allows her to play the melody over the rhythm. Instead, I kind of made the song my own by doing a weird kind of strumming/fingerpicking combination, I guess that is what you could call it :) We are very fortunate to have a decent recording of Maybelle performing the song, the video and audio quality is pretty darn good and I have watched the video below countless times. I also love the fact that Earl Scruggs is playing guitar behind Maybelle as he is usually seen playing lead banjo. If you are not familiar with Earl Scruggs, you could probably say he is the most influential banjo picker of all time. Hope you enjoy the cover :)
